Insurance and Financial Security COURSE DESIGN & CONTENT Life Insurance and Financial Security is designed for those financial professionals needing training in issues that enhance one's financial security, such as life insurance, annuities and retirement planning. This course will carry the professional through the various aspects of life insurance policies and provisions, the general types of life insurance and benefits, annuities and annuity planning, and the complexities of the retirement planning process. Even though the emphasis is geared toward advising the individual, many of the concepts can be applicable in the business environment. LEARNING OBJECTIVES This course covers fundamental principles of life insurance, annuities, and retirement planning. Prior knowledge and exposure to the these fields is not a prerequisite but will assist in comprehension of the principles discussed. For those with prior experience, it will help build upon concepts already learned and solidify the understanding of those concepts infrequently applied. Successful completion will enhance one’s ability to provide professional counsel, products and services. PREPARATION No prior preparation or review is necessary for this course. INSTRUCTIONAL METHODOLOGY This course is designed as self-study. ADMINISTRATIVE Participants must pass the exam by the end of their next reporting cycle and requires a minimum passing grade of 70%. Refunds are available within 30 days of ordering.
