Issues In America COURSE DESIGN & CONTENT This course is designed for those insurance professionals wanting broad and detailed training in health insurance and health related issues. This course will carry the professional through past and current issues that have developed our system into what it is today. It begins with the healthcare landscape in America, the various types and complexities of health insurance, legal issues, Medicare, Medigap, Medicaid, long term care and disability income. LEARNING OBJECTIVES This course covers all aspects of the health insurance field and health related issues. Prior knowledge and exposure to the field is not a prerequisite but will assist in comprehension of policy types, legal issues, and related complexities. For those with prior experience, it will help build upon concepts already learned and solidify the understanding of those concepts infrequently applied. Successful completion will enhance one’s ability to assist clientele in developing a comprehensive healthcare plan. PREPARATION No prior preparation or review is necessary for this course. INSTRUCTIONAL METHODOLOGY This course is designed as self-study. ADMINISTRATIVE Participants must pass the exam by the end of their next reporting cycle and requires a minimum passing grade of 70%. Refunds are available within 30 days of ordering.
