CFP Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility
Course Overview and Ordering Information
COURSE & CONTENTS
This course is approved by the CFP Board in meeting the two (2) hour credit requirement for the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility
(Code of Ethics). The Code of Ethics is included in the CFP Board's current
publication, CFP Board's Standards of Professional Conduct (Standards Booklet).
The CFP Board has incorporated a new section, Financial Planning Practice
Standards (Practice Standards), into the Standards Booklet and has made it a
part of the Code of Ethics requirement. Mail orders will consist of the
Standards Booklet, Study Guide and Test (45 questions). Internet orders will
link you to the Study Guide and Test. We also provide a link to the CFP Board's
website which will give you access to the Standards Booklet; or, you may use
your own Standards Booklet. If you do not have one, call the CFP Board and order
one.
COURSE DESIGN
The Standards Booklet contain three core subject areas: the Code of Ethics,
Practice Standards, and Disciplinary Rules and Procedures. The Code of Ethics is
divided into eight (8) sections, beginning with Preamble and Applicability and ending with Sample Disclosure Forms. For study purposes, the Study Guide is divided the same. You are prompted to review a section at a time and then answer the test questions only applicable to the section studied. This allows the busy CFP to partially complete the course without having to review and reread because of interruptions. It also cuts down on the search time needed to find answers. This time efficient design surpasses the typical burdensome study course-read the whole course, then take the exam.
COST
Internet orders cost $30; $25 for repeat customers. For mail orders, add $10.
For multi-rep offices, the Buddy system can apply by using one set of
materials and each additional rep is charged as a repeat customer. Make additional copies of the Answer Sheet as needed.
ORDERING
Orders are taken over the phone, mail or Internet via an SSL Secure Server. We accept
American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa. We also accept personal or company
check for repeat customers. Receipts for payment are available upon

Within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving your completed answer sheet we will
send your completion certificate or notice of failure. The CFP Board requires eighty percent (80%) for a passing grade.
For failing grades, a new completed answer sheet will replace the old one. The cost for
the first re-test is $0.00; $10 thereafter. REFUNDS
If a CFP® chooses not to take the course and returns
the course materials in resalable condition within 30 days of ordering, such CFP®
shall receive a full refund less original shipping and handling
costs. Any returns beyond 30 days will be considered for a full refund less
costs only if the course content is still currently relevant.
